Fulltime & Part-time - £11 Per Hour

Bank - £10.50 Per Hour


Hours: Average 11.5 hours - 40.25 hours per week - Shift Work (2-week rota - we can offer flexibility from day one, includes days, evenings and weekend working. The shifts range from 07:30am - 8pm (day shift), 7:30pm - 8am (night shift), 11am - 8pm (support shift) and 6pm - midnight (twilight shift)


Hillview Hospital is a Low Secure CAMHS service that provides specialist support for young people with severe and complex mental health conditions aged 13-18 years.


The function of the role is to further support the team with the delivery of therapeutic interventions on ward, providing staff support and sharing learning between teams. You will get the opportunity to have monthly supervisions with one of our qualified Psychologist, which will allow you to further develop your understanding of the therapeutic side of the service. In addition, the role requires providing support to young people and their families being cared for within the service as directed by qualified nursing staff. When working on ward the role will include assisting the qualified nurse to assess, plan and evaluate nursing care within the ward environment and community settings.


The post holder will be required to work with, and provide social, psychological, and practical support to young people aged 13-18 years who have mental health needs. The ideal candidates will be caring, passionate and committed to supporting adolescents with complex mental health needs. Experience of working within a CAMHS unit is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided, including sign up for QCF qualifications.


This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.


There is also the opportunity for overtime within this position and that is paid at an enhanced hourly rate.
