The grand opening of our new Low Secure CAMHS ward at Hillview Hospital was a full celebration! With a disco bouncy castle and a lunch time party buffet all topped off with a ceremonial ribbon cutting to officially open the newly renovated ward!
As the only Low secure CAMHS provider in Wales we are grateful that we will be able to help our young people continue with their treatment pathways to maximise their individual potential, achieve their recovery goals, engage in positive risk taking and support and enable them to further embed the skills and coping strategies learnt since admission to Brenin ward.
Ebbw ward will offer more independent living options for our young people, with coffee and tea making facilities and a practice kitchen for baking and cooking, it is a great environment for our young people to transition into, Ebbw has been fully renovated with all new furnishings and decoration throughout, custom designed seating in the living spaces and a fully custom sensory room with a brilliant LED light fixture on the ceiling and a range of different seating options.
We would also like to thank the staff for all their hard work and support in getting Ebbw up and running!
