Night Nurse Unit Coordinator
Salary: £42,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
Full time: Average 40.25 hours per week - 2-week rota basis of 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week (the rota includes days, nights and weekend working).
Hospital is a Low Secure CAMHS service that provides specialist support for young people with severe and complex mental health conditions aged 13-18 years.
We are now recruiting for Night Nurse Unit Coordinators at Hillview Hospital. As a Night Coordinator you will assist and support staff in the management of the ward throughout the night shifts, and will make an effective contribution to providing high quality care to our young people. __ **
Responsibilities will include:
Managing staff on the wards and monitoring staffing provision across the site
Providing supervision and support to staff across the site
Monitoring and leading by example with patient care and safety
Leading and responding to any incidents providing support and guidance to staff
Responsibility for the site, it's security and the safety of our staff and patients during the night shift
You will have:
Registered Mental Health Nursing qualification
NMC Registration
Post qualification experience (ideally in CAMHS but not essential)
Experience in a management or supervisory position
Strong team-working skills in a multi professional environment
High level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
Positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
Commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
Clinical effectiveness and competent in the care programme approach
Evidence of continuous professional development
To be successful in this role you will need to be committed to Personal Learning and Development, Evidence and Values Based Practice and Patient Centred Care. You will need to have excellent team working skills and be highly self-motivated with a flexible approach.
