Salary: £27,018 Per Annum
Full time: 37.5 hours per week - (Monday to Friday)
52 Week contract with collapsed timetable during summer holidays

Hillview Hospital is a Low Secure CAMHS service that provides specialist support for young people with severe and complex mental health conditions aged 13-18 years.
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher (Mathematics/Science) at our Specialist CAMHS Hospital in Ebbw Vale to join our innovative and collaborative education department. This role will help to continue to drive standards for our young people.
The successful candidates will be expected to teach and plan inclusive daily lessons with the education department at the hospital, teaching one to one and as small groups. The post holder will need to organise extra learning for individuals with learning difficulties, or lack of understanding, covering all subjects of the curriculum.
Hillview Hospital is a Low Secure Hospital and requires the highest levels of Security awareness at all times.
It is essential that the successful candidate has:
Relevant Degree
Qualified Teacher Status
Continued professional development in relevant areas
Experience of teaching Mathematics/Science and Numeracy at KS3 and GCSE
Excellent understanding of what constitutes excellence in teaching and learning
Have experience and a track record of improving the teaching practices of others;
Have knowledge and understanding of recent developments in high quality teaching
Highly motivated
Effective ICT skills understanding how to use data effectively to improve student outcomes
Excellent communication skills
Ability to be an innovative, independent practitioner
Ability to work to deadlines
Enjoy working with young people
Flexible and adaptive to changing needs and priorities
Resilient, calm and tenacious under pressure
Passionate about inclusive practice and equality of opportunity
Relentless in finding ways to remove any barrier to success
Commitment to the protection/safeguarding of all students
