Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)

Hillview Hospital is a Low Secure CAMHS service that provides specialist support for young people with severe and complex mental health conditions aged 13-18 years

Salary: £38,000 -£40,000* (*£2,000 bonus payment option available upon start)


Full time: Average 40.25 hours per week - 2-week rota basis of 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week (the rota includes days, nights and weekend working).

Hillview Hospital are looking for to recruit several Registered Mental Health Nurses (RMN) with a passion for delivering the best quality of care.


Hillview Hospital's Registered Mental Nurses (RMN) will be be responsible for delivering specialist nursing care and work to professional and regulatory body codes, standards and guidance at all times. They will ensure patients diagnosed with mental health conditions receive high-quality care, while supporting colleagues and promoting good teamwork.


Our RMN will ensure the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitor the results of treatment and help our young patients manage their emotions through de-escalation techniques. They will prepare and maintain patient records and produce care plans and risk assessments whilst working alongside a multi-disciplinary team comprising of staff from Psychiatry, Psychology, Education, Occupational Therapy and Nursing.


No two days are the same, with plenty to keep our nurses engaged and motivated, but also a good amount of routine.


You will have:

  • Relevant nursing qualification and registration (RMN)

  • Post qualification experience (ideally in CAMHS but not essential)

  • Strong team-working skills in a multi professional environment

  • High level of self-motivation and a flexible approach

  • Positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate

  • Commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice

  • Clinical effectiveness and competent in the care programme approach

  • Evidence of continuous professional development
