Registered Social Worker

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Full time: Monday to Friday (9:00am - 5:00pm)

Hillview Hospital are excited to welcome a Social Worker to join our talented multidisciplinary team, with an emphasis on patient contact and face-to-face work with individuals. The successful candidate must have a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Care Wales.


Hillview Hospital is a Low Secure CAMHS service that provides specialist support for young people with severe and complex mental health conditions aged 13-18 years.


ROLE PURPOSE

  • Carries a caseload of highly complex cases

  • Provides advice and guidance to other staff within the organisation and external agencies including a liaison role with Blaenau Gwent Safeguarding Team.

  • Provide written reports to the Mental Health Review Tribunal, Hospital Managers, and other key professionals

  • Participate in training and development.

  • Provide Safeguarding training.

  • To work in partnership with patients, carers, relatives and other agencies to identify current and future service requirements and contribute to service development within the scope of the role.

  • As a core member of the MDT, facilitate safe and appropriate discharge for patients by co-ordinating the discharge process.

  • Designated Safeguarding Lead within the unit
